A Day in the Life of Emmy

I believe that life is a journey, not a destination, and my life’s journey is full of all sorts of adventures! I started this blog when I began my adventure traveling around the country as an Educational Leadership Consultant for my sorority. It was an amazing and life-changing 10 month experience that I am so thankful I had. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the summer of 2008 with my degree in Elementary Education and I am currently the Youth, Teen & Family Director for a YMCA. I married my wonderful husband, Dustin, on March 31, 2012. We have a puppy, Chloe, and a cute little home, that keeps us busy! Being married has definitely been an exciting new adventure! This blog is all about this crazy, wonderful, fun and loving thing we call our life!

30 Things To Do Before Turning 30

1. Run a 1/2 marathon.
2. Take a ballroom dance class.
3. Face my fear of heights and go mountain climbing.
4. Read 5 books on the New York Time's Best Sellers List.
5. Learn how to play the guitar.
6. Get a master's degree.
7. Sing with a live rock band.
8. Help build a house by doing Habitat for Humanity.
9. Write a song.
10. Write a book.
11. Design and sew a dress.
12. Interview my grandparents about their lives.
13. Go on a camping trip and camp in a tent.
14. Learn how to knit.
15. Visit a foreign country.
16. Go storm chasing.
17. Visit every State that I haven't been to yet.
18. Go to Vegas.
19. Buy a house.
20. Paint a picture.
21. Go to an NFL game.
22. Visit and take a tour of the Nebraska State Capital.
23. Go salsa dancing.
24. Learn how to ride a bike, again.
25. Learn how to play the piano, again.

26. Go on a tropical vacation.

27. Teach children.

28. Try out for a television game show.

29. Catch a fish.

30. Paint my front door red.
